Hi all,
we were talking about perhaps creating a “backwards” video on wednesday.

Can’t resist posting this. It suits my enthusiasm for Chindogu and faux websites all together…
...bow down and worship at the sheer folly.
More videos from our debut show.
Amber rides the handcar
Martin paints with a Van de Graaff generator
Dave and more Kaleidoscope Echo shenanigans
Katya drawing with light
A number of extra youtube movies have been put up. If you are receiving this as email, visit this post online to see more.
Thanks for Dave’s invite to publish videos from the recent show on YouTube. This is my Favourite.
Martin is playing with Quartz Extreme and the Kaleidoscope effect, driven by a video camera, and feeding back on itself.
Dave…is funking it.

Hi - we’re beginning to get the pictures and videos from the show up on the wide-world-web.
Currently there’s stuff on flickr and youtube
If you’d like to add yours up too, that’d be great - just add the tag “curiositycollective”
Cheers,
Dave
I’ve added the videos inline which are already there. But more to come. [Ed]

The animation gives the impression of being 3d. Wonder if there are other ways of generating this effect, apart from animation. How subtle can it be? What happens when the offset is much smaller. We’ll have to experiment.
Found in this article from the Mighty Illusions blog.
Our debut show closes at 9pm tonight, so today is the last chance to come and see us before we shut up shop. Probably another 6 months or so until the next show.
We’ve had a great time over the last few evenings with huge video feedback walls, Van-Der-Graaf generators sucking paint onto canvases, massive shadow-puppetry, and that’s on top of all the fixed exhibition - mime-driven video installations, visual illusions, living inflatables and so on.
But we’ve been missing you! So come along and explore your playful side with the collective this evening.
See the map of how to get to the exhibition - St-Mary-At-The-Quay, Key St., Ipswich.
Expect some pictures soon…
